Uganda Game Awards 2026 — 5 December, Kampala Serena Hotel. Get your ticket

We are here to level up the Ugandan game industry.

The Uganda Game Developers Association represents the studios, developers, artists and educators building games in Uganda — growing the sector into a serious pillar of the country’s creative economy.

Founded in 2026 · Kampala, Uganda

About us

We’re building a tight-knit community that brings the Ugandan games industry together.

Uganda has the talent, the stories and the appetite — what it has lacked is a shared table. The UGDA exists so that studios, freelancers, publishers and schools stop working in isolation and start moving as one industry.

01

Build the community

Regular meetups, a members’ Discord and an open directory so developers across Kampala, Gulu, Mbarara and the diaspora can find each other.

02

Connect the ecosystem

We build bridges to government, telecoms, banks, investors and the wider creative sector so that games are understood as an industry, not a hobby.

03

Grow global reputation

Ugandan pavilions and delegations at international events, plus a press kit programme that puts local titles in front of publishers and press.

04

Run the events

Trade missions, network lunches, game jams and the annual Uganda Game Awards — the moments where the industry actually meets.

05

Mentor the next wave

The Uganda Game Mentors programme pairs emerging developers with senior practitioners for six months of structured, practical guidance.

06

Measure the industry

The Uganda Games Monitor is our annual research report on studio count, revenue, employment and skills gaps — the numbers advocacy needs.
